ORSkills facilitates collaboration, collection and calibration by providing Oregon’s school districts with a platform for delivering, scoring and storing local work samples and portfolios.

We can help you cross-score work samples with colleagues from other districts—even if those colleagues are in another part of the State. ORSkills helps you save time and expense in collecting and warehousing work samples and portfolios, including bi-literacy portfolios. And, it will simultaneously help ensure your work samples and portfolios are being scored reliably. Teacher training and student performance is tracked simply, efficiently and cost-effectively. ORSkills can help achieve all of this and more—and using the platform is free!

The Essential Skills articulate what students should be able to do by the time they earn a high school diploma. They are the key outcomes of the educational experience, and represent the cross-disciplinary skills necessary for success in college and career.

Willamette ESD and the Oregon Department of Education provide schools and districts with access to a variety of high school level prompts in Reading, Writing and Mathematics. Prompts and scoring are available in 10 languages. By providing easy access to trained scorers from around Oregon, the OrSkills system will help you simplify and accelerate work sample scoring. Work samples are scored two or three times, typically in less than 24 hours, and the results returned to you electronically.

If you would like to access the system, please click on the learn more button to see a detailed description of how the system works and what steps you’ll need to take next.
